Life without lack

Dear friends,

It gives me great joy to write to you during this holiday season, Hope all is well with you and that you have had a great Christmas week so far.

Couple of weeks ago while enjoying the company of some young men of God from the city during a fellowship dinner. I stumbled upon an amazing scripture. It literally blew my mind off. I’m sure once you catch this insight you will be shouting with me as well.

Here goes…

2 Peter 1:3
… His divine power has given to us all things that [pertain] to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.

This scripture tells me all that I will ever need in life and for Godliness is already given to me by the Power of God. Oh my God I can shout right there. Think about this anything you will ever need to in life and to have Godliness is already made available to you.

If you are worried about your bills or how you will break that addiction. May be you have experienced difficult times in 2009. I have good news for you. IT IS TAKEN CARE OFF.

The missing link:

The scripture tells us that all that we need for life and Godliness is given to us THROUGH OUR KNOWLEDGE OF GOD. Hmmm…So on one side we have all the pressing needs of Life (Love, money, purpose holiness etc) on the other side we have God’s providence to all our needs. On one side we have earthly requirements on the other all of heaven supplies. What bridges the gap between the two is our knowledge of God. Our understanding of God is the key that unlocks heaven’s resources over our lives.

I looked up the word “knowledge” in its original language. It means knowledge gained from relationship. What God is asking of us is not mere information or dogma but knowledge or understanding that comes from knowing Him as a person. Oh my God this is good stuff. So many times we think just by going to church or reading devotionals will produce results in our lives. More often than not we end up in frustration because it doesn’t work. God is calling us to a more real and intimate relationship with Him.

The Bible is not a spell book we use to meet our needs it is a personal love letter given to us by God. Christianity is not a religion it is an active relationship with Jesus and the knowledge that stems from knowing Him will position you to a life without lack.

Let’s seek Him He will take care of the rest.

Hey Folks,

I know it has been a while since I last wrote. Apologies to those who have been visiting the blog for fresh updates. I have been extremely busy with work and ministry. I will soon give you guys an update on the ministry events.

Im so excited about today’s blog update. It is written by Rein Cristos a dear friend of mine who was supernaturally healed of a health condition by the Grace of God. He resides in Singapore and travels widely preaching the Gospel of Grace.

Rom 5:20 Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more- NKJV

Years ago I used to think my sins were so sinful to the fact that God will not let me go till im judged for it. Eventually, it lead me to sin consciousness that i kept away from God whenever i sinned. If the sin commited was not so sinful, perhaps then I would ask for forgiveness repeatedly or pray prayers over and over again.

Looking back today, I am glad ive found the truth that has set me free from sin and being sin conscious. What I heard changed my life completely. It was radical change, a transformation.

What did I gain knowledge of? It was this verse, where sin abounds- grace abounds much more! Each time when I missed the mark, I begin to understand Gods grace was greater than that very sin I commited, therefore I would confess that I am still the Righteousness of God and Gods grace is much greater! As time went on, that very sin which I struggled faded away.

I realised then, the Law was given so that sin will show you up. Show you up for a need of a Saviour.

Back then being an unbeliever, sin was never a concern to me, because I never new God’s Laws! but when I was saved, sin became exceedingly sinful because I was taught the Laws and commandments of God and I would have not known sin except through the law!

Each sin commited made me guilty/ condemned and depressed, as time went on it produced in me sickness/ bitterness & anger. I went through excruciating pains, was terribly sick and vomitted blood for years and no doctors could prescribe or even tell me the cause of it!! The ROOT cause of death in my life was the Law!

The Law which was to bring life, I found to bring death!- romans 7;10
For the sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the Law- 1 Cor 15;56

When I found grace in my life, it swallowed up the Law and the power of sin in my life, it brought me life. Grace superabounded much more!

When Christ hang on the Cross, every curse, every sin, and the Law was fullfilled by Christ, for Christ having become a curse for us, Christ is the end of the Law for Righteousness. Thus a new covenant was made to Mankind, a covenant called GRACE. Whereby we dont deserve Gods goodness, mercy and favor but because of Christ perfect sacrifice, we are made Righteous, Holy, Justified by His Grace, redeemed and sanctified.
We are justified by faith and not the Law. For the law demands righteousness, but Grace imparts Righteousness apart from our good works. Our obedience today is completed in Christ Finished Work at the Cross, “It Is Finished”.

The Law even if obeyed righteously, it can never save you from sin. What a stumbling block to those who are still trying to earn God’s Favor and blessings by keeping the Law to themselves!

The new covenant stands on the forgiveness of sins that is FOREVER wiped clean- Heb 8;12-13. Grace that is much more, grace that is never ending, grace that brings life to the hopeless is found at the Cross, a redemption and devine exchange from God to men.

The Law comdemns the best of us, Grace redeems the worst of us.

Today, if you are struggling with any sins, addicted, bounded by things you want out from.
Let me say this, your sins are NEVER greater than Gods GRACE! because each and every sin is never greater to Christ the Son of the Living God that gave His life for your sins/ addictions/ bondages.
God loves you too much that He took your weakness so that you are perfected by His Strength.
God hates sin, but He loves you, thats why He wants you to see your sin on the Cross, cause when you do that, then simply believe and watch you sin fade away in the presence of Grace.

Believing right has empowered me to live a healthy, prosperous, righteous living that was given freely to me by His Grace and grace alone. May God’s grace teach you, guide you, love you, lead you to an effortless success, wholeness and to reign in life.

Faith in the Furnace…..

Hello saints,

Today I want to write about something that the Spirit of God has been tugging my heart about. I want to write about faith but from a very different perspective.

I want to title this article ” Faith in the Furnace“

Normally faith is associated with positivity or positive circumstances. You will hear many say if you are sick believe and you will be healed. If you have financial problems believe and your bills will be paid. I fully believe in all of the above, Iam more than persuaded that our God will supply and that our God will heal but today I want to talk about a facet of Faith that is normally ignored by many. I want to talk about the other side of Faith. I call them the trials of Faith. Normally we associate Faith has a factor that will trigger movement from the negative aspects of Life to the positive at least from a material view point for example”some one may say “I never had a job but then I believed and now I have the best Job” Or “My business was running on low profits but I believed the Word of God now my business is making me millions”. These are amazing testimonies of Faith yet there is another face to Faith. Some times the same faith that will cause us promotion, favor & elevation will put us in circumstances that we are not comfortable in. The same faith that heals,delivers and saves will put us in places we are not happy with. We try to reason it out or logically try to solve the problem but it doesn’t make sense.

Beloved hear me well sometimes Your FAITH will put you in the FURNACE. Yes you heard me right your faith will put you in places that you don’t like. Sometimes your faith in God may cause you pain. Think of Daniel, the same Faith that granted him favor and elevation and made him a wise man in the court of a King also put him inside the Lion’s den. Consider the story of the three Hebrew boys, Shadrach, Meshach and abednego like Daniel the three Boys because of their Faith found Favor and enjoyed special treatment in the King’s palace yet the same Faith put them inside the FURNACE.

You know Jonah’s story how his Faith took him to a place he dint want to go. He had to stay in the stinking belly of a whale for three days. God have mercy Jonah had no clue that one day his Faith will put him inside the stomach of a big fish. Think of the 1st century believers their Faith costed them their very lives. all of the of the apostles were martyred except for John the beloved . John the beloved was put inside was put inside a vessel containing boiling oil. The apostles never thought that putting their trust in this Jewish carpenter will one day cost them their lives.

I know Iam touching a very sensitive issue but the fact of the matter is Christianity is about the CROSS and the cross is not a very pleasant sight.

Dearly beloved, may be today you find yourself in one of these trials of Faith. May be where you are today is not very pleasant But you fake a smile when you walk into the corridors of the church almost suggesting Christians cannot have problems in life. May be your family looks down upon you because of your faith. may be Your marriage is being delayed because of your belief in Christ. What ever may be your your trail I have good news for you.

If your Faith put you into the Furnace it will also bring you out of the Furnace. If your Faith put you into the Lion’s den it will also Shut the Lions Mouth. Our God will not abandon you. Your Faith will not disappoint you. The God that saved Daniel in the Lion’s den will also save you. Our God that walked with the Hebrew boys will also walk with you through your Furnace. Grace and Mercy is about to visit your life. HELP is on the WAY.

Great HONOR awaits you.
If you are in the furnace today I want you to know that great honor awaits you. Bishop David Oyedepo said in his Book on Faith” When Daniel came out of the Den alive can you imagine the Honor He would have got because His God had shut the Lion’s mouth” when everybody expected the Daniel to die He came out alive. When you come out of the trial you are in Greatness waits for you.

Intimacy with God
Trials of Faith have this tendency to draw you closer to God. It is only in the Furnace the Hebrew boys saw the fourth person. Daniel saw the power of the Almighty in a measure that it closed the mouth a hungry lion. Each champion of faith mentioned above knew God in a way that it would have been impossible to know God that way apart from the trial. If you are in a trial get ready for a fresh encounter with God.
